Fanshawe College is one of the leaders in the development of co-operative education at the college level in Canada. With 50 co-0- programs, Fanshawe College has more than any other college in Canada!

Each year, Robert A Hughes (London) Limited hires Fanshawe students giving them hands on experience in the field. We hope that by sharing our experience and knowledge, the students reap the benefits that only hands on training can provide.

The Gathering Place, an 8,000 square foot facility in Lambeth provides day program activities for people with developmental disabilities. It fosters the growth, independence and dignity of those who participate.

The activities include arts and music, drama, a kitchen offering adaptive cooking classes, a wellness center and a Snoezelen Room, which allows participants to engage in therapeutic sensory experiences in a safe environment. The Gathering Place will also include the new L’Arche London Cafe. It will be designed and run by people with intellectual disabilities, a first for London.

SARI was founded in 1978 in memory of a little girl who loved animals. Sari Greenberg was born with Down Syndrome at a time when children with disabilities were often put in care. Instead, Syd and Jeanne embraced the opportunity to bring her home to the farm where SARI currently stands.

The vision and compassion of two parents put therapeutic riding on the map. It is now a valuable activity that has changed  the lives of many others. The dedication of staff and volunteers makes SARI one of Southwestern Ontario’s most well respected therapeutic riding organizations.
